1. About Likha Registry

Likha Registry (“we”, “us”, or “Likha”) is a Philippine digital platform for artwork registration, provenance documentation, and art market price transparency. By accessing or using this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Nature of Certification — Important Disclaimer

Likha Registry provides registry-based and documentary certification, not a guarantee of authenticity or attribution. Our review process is based on information and documentation provided by submitting parties.

A Likha Registry certificate confirms that:

• An artwork record exists in our registry under a unique registry number
• The submitted documentation was reviewed by our team
• The certificate was issued on the stated date with the information provided

A Likha Registry certificate does not constitute a legal guarantee against future attribution disputes, forgery claims, or changes in scholarly opinion regarding authorship. Buyers and collectors are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence for high-value acquisitions.

3. Submission of Artwork Records

By submitting an artwork record, you represent and warrant that:

• You are the artist, authorized representative, or current owner of the work
• All information submitted is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge
• You have the right to submit the artwork details and images provided
• The submission does not infringe on the rights of any third party

Likha Registry reserves the right to reject, suspend, or revoke any registration at its discretion, including where records are found to be inaccurate, fraudulent, or in dispute.

4. Price and Auction Data Disclaimer

The price database on Likha Registry is compiled from publicly available Philippine auction catalogs and sale results. This data is provided for informational and reference purposes only. Likha Registry does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of auction records. Past auction results are not a guarantee of current or future market value. Data should not be used as the sole basis for appraisal, insurance, or purchase decisions.

5. Intellectual Property & Image Rights

Artists and rights holders retain full copyright ownership of all artwork images and descriptions submitted to this platform. Submission to Likha Registry does not transfer or diminish any copyright, moral rights, or related intellectual property rights.

By submitting, you grant Likha Registry a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display submitted images solely for:

• Operating the artwork registry and verification service
• Displaying the artwork on public registry and certificate pages
• Generating authentication certificates and QR verification pages

This licence does not extend to commercial use, resale, reproduction in print or physical media, sublicensing, or any use unrelated to the registry and verification services described above.

The Likha Registry name, logo, certificate design, watermark, and platform interface are the intellectual property of Likha Registry and may not be reproduced without written permission.

6. Image Use Policy

All images displayed on Likha Registry are provided for verification and reference purposes only.

• Copyright remains with the artist or rights holder. Display on Likha Registry does not imply any transfer of copyright or permission to reproduce the image for any purpose other than verifying registry status.
• Reproduction is prohibited without permission. Saving, downloading, screenshotting, or repurposing images from this platform for commercial, editorial, or personal use without the express written consent of the copyright holder is strictly prohibited.
• No commercial use. Images may not be used in advertising, merchandise, publications, NFTs, AI training datasets, or any other commercial context without explicit written permission from the rights holder.
• Watermarked display only. Public images are served at reduced resolution with a Likha Registry watermark. Full-resolution originals are stored privately and accessible only through authenticated certificate downloads.

To request permission to reproduce an artwork image, use the “Contact Artist” feature on the artwork's registry page.

7. Submission Consent & Image Visibility

By submitting an artwork record, you consent to Likha Registry displaying your artwork according to your chosen visibility setting:

• Public — Artwork appears in the public registry with a watermarked image. Title, artist, medium, and certificate status are visible to all visitors.
• Private Image — Artwork can be verified by registry number, but the image is hidden. Metadata such as title, artist, and certificate status remain visible for verification.
• Collector Private — Artwork and image are visible, but owner name and detailed provenance are hidden from public view.

You may change your artwork's visibility setting at any time through your artist dashboard. Likha Registry reserves the right to override visibility settings in cases of legal dispute, fraud investigation, or court order.

9. Provenance and Ownership Records

Ownership and provenance records are submitted voluntarily by users. Likha Registry documents these records as reported but does not independently verify the legal ownership or title of artworks. We are not a legal authority on title disputes. Records may be updated or annotated to reflect disputes, corrections, or new information.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Likha Registry shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this platform, reliance on registry records or certificates, or any transaction involving registered artworks. Our liability, in any case, shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Makati City, Metro Manila.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will post the updated date at the top of this page when changes are made.
